Making Modern Technology a Reality for Everyone

Sequim PC Users Group (SPCUG), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, promotes the learning, understanding and use of personal computers. We provide current information regarding changing technology, internet security and encourage the exchange of knowledge and skills among members.

Recycling and Providing PCs to Those in Need

SPCUG is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. In the Last twelve years our Tech Shop volunteers have refurbished and provided more than 1200 computers to local agencies such as First Step, Peninsula Behavioral Health, Pathways to Success, Habitat for Humanity, schools and veteran’s groups for distribution to qualified recipients who need, but cannot afford a computer. We accomplish this by accepting donations of used computer hardware from Individuals and businesses. Tech Shop volunteers remove existing data from the hard drives, repair or replace hardware as needed, load a current Windows operating system, add open source software such as Libre Office and configure the browser for security.

The Tech Shop closed as of December 2023 due to losing the garage where the crew worked for 12 years.  Laptops will still be refurbished on a smaller scale.

Partnering with other non-profit organizations

Over the years SPCUG has helped KSQM radio station, Olympic Theater Arts, Sequim Museum and Arts and other local nonprofits with their computers. Our members currently manage the computers at the Shipley Center in Sequim and volunteers hold a help clinic for Shipley Center and SPCUG members on Monday afternoons from 1:00-3:00.

You can help us fulfill our mission by donating computer hardware to SPCUG, becoming a member, telling others about what the club does, and by cash donations that are tax deductible.
