Planning for 2012 Sequim Tech Fair Underway

Preparations for the 2012 Sequim Tech Fair are in full swing.  The Fair, scheduled for March 17, 2012, will again be at the Sequim High School Cafeteria and adjacent computer classrooms and will consist of technology related vendors and presentations.

SPCUG Refurbishes Computers for Kiwanis’ Service Project

SPCUG is teaming with the Kiwanis to help provide computers for those who otherwise would not have access to them.  The Kiwanis collect used computers from individuals and business who lo longer need them and turn them over to SPCUG.  SPCUG cleans them, wipes the hard drives of all personal information and installs a selection of open source productivity and security software applications.  The Kiwanis then coordinate with various local agencies to find them a good home.
